Harold’s Restaurant, Bar and Terrace and Harold’s Tap Room are a casual neighborhood restaurant and bar specializing in Southern and Creole cuisine made from local Houston ingredients.
Harold’s Restaurant and Tap Room were founded by Alli Jarrett, a resident of the Heights since 2002. Alli’s love for the Heights stems from her upbringing in Kingstree, a small town in the low country of South Carolina, where she grew up in a family wholesale business that her grandparents started and operated for 52 years.
Fresh produce from local farmers was constantly given to Alli’s grandmother, who gave her the love of food and the social bond it provides between family and friends. Like Kingstree, the Heights is about knowing your neighbors and supporting the local community.
The foundation of Harold’s in the Heights is to serve the community by offering a menu of local, fresh and natural dishes with a southern, Houston spin, and providing outstanding customer service every time you visit. Chef Antoine Ware‘s New Orleans culinary roots and Owner Alli Jarrett‘s South Carolina-bred brand of hospitality combine to create a unique dining experience that feels close to home. Harold’s offers Brunch, Lunch, Dinner and Happy Hour, as well as private parties. And whether you’re in the mood for Gulf Shrimp, Southern Fried Chicken, or just an appetizer of local Houston snacks with a Texas beer, Harold’s in the Heights has everything you need.
